Great day yesterday. We wrapped up the final week of our Jesus series and celebrated with even more salvations. God truly moved in lives throughout this series. I’m excited about the upcoming series called “Next.” We’re gonna have some fun with stage design.

I never thought I’d be so happy to say those words. By the way, I’m talking about fuel. Saturday night I think every gas station in the world was out of gas. Emily and I coasted in our driveway and Ian came to the rescue and drove us to church on sunday. Yesterday I found a gas station that had a $20 (cash only) limit. I went through the line twice to get a half tank.

It’s funny that we used to complain about the price of gas……now we just hope they have some.

1. The office season premiere was on tonight and it was hilarious. I’m so excited it is finally back on. I’ve been getting into a new show called “Fringe” as well. I’m not sure if I’m gonna like it or not. Same producers as Lost and I need something to hold me over until Lost comes back on. 
2. We’re going to the doctor for the first time after finding out Emily is pregnant. We should get a due date and get to hear the baby’s heart beat. Pretty awesome.
3. Heading out to Griffin to sing in a friend’s wedding this weekend. While I’m down there I’ll get the chance to have lunch with Jason Hoard to talk about our future CD project. 
4. Sunday will be our final week of the Jesus series. If you know anyone who is far from God then you need to get them to Freedom on sunday. It’s been a powerful series.
5. We got brand new Freedom t-shirts and they look sweet.

FreedomGeneration launched last night. It was awesome to see so many students there for the kick-off service. Those students are going to be part of the movement of God in our city.

Pastor JR’s message about Jesus as priest was powerful. So many emotions rush through me as I think about what Jesus actually went through to save me.  I get angry angry that they tortured Him beyond recognition, sad because my sin was the reason, and joyful because He endured it for me paying my debt and conquering death.

The reality is that Jesus had the power to stop at any moment, but he held on because your life was worth it. That is the reason I live for Him and that is the reason FreedomChurch exists: so that those who are far from God may be filled with life in Christ.

Awesome day yesterday at Freedom. It is always a successful day when those who are far from God receive life in Christ. We are all pumped about what God is going to do during the JESUS series and have officially begun our 15 day fast. So far so good….campbells soup at hand is the bomb.

God was moving in incredible ways yesterday at Freedom Church. There were a bunch of people who got saved in both services. Praise God! Pastor JR’s message was extremely powerful. Here’s the awesome scripture we looked at:

As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature objects of wrath. 

But……

because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. 

That pumps me up! Thank God for the “but” in that scripture. God is so rich in mercy and didn’t just save us from dying, He breathed life into us after we were already dead. It gets me excited so I’ll stop now before I type a novel.

Just got back from the ear, nose, and throat doctor (ENT). I learned a lot of new things about myself:

1. It’s not good when they do an allergy test and you get welts on your arm. When the nurse saw me she said, “Oh Lord!” Come to find out I’m allergic to trees, weeds, and grass. At least you never have to worry about me smoking any of those things.
2. I have some kind of ear thing going on that causes me to get dizzy. Nothing a little meds can’t fix.
3. They told me my hearing wasn’t that good and that I probably play my guitar too loud. Thanks doc.
4. It’s really weird during the hearing test when you’re in a soundproof box listening to soft beeping noises and there’s a person frantically analyzing you and writing results on paper. I peeked, but didn’t know what it all meant. I think it said I’d be deaf by 30.

Emily and I are going to have a baby! We are both so excited and blessed that we get to enter the life of parenthood together. We appreciate ya’lls prayers as we prepare for this next step in life.
